As a kid I was taught that a life defined by extreme stress, non-stop pressure, and self-sacrificing in the name of achievement was the most virtuous path to success.
Starting at twelve years old, I'd shut my bedroom door and study all night long. I barely survived an eating disorder that no one (including me) understood. I was completely out of balance.
My problems started the day I embraced the idea that I came last and achievement came first. This defined my life for about 20 years.
I found Feng Shui after spending a month in and out of a hospital when my body finally broke down and I was left jobless with enormous debt.
As J.K. Rowling famously said, "Rock bottom became the stable foundation on which I rebuilt my life."
I found my own ways to work with Feng Shui which helped me feel empowered and "at home" for the first time in my adult life.
I found my way back to health, wealth, and happiness within a year.
The year that changed my life-- filled with seemingly miraculous events-- was not a "lucky" year. I created this new life for myself with joy, certainty, and peace.
I was recently reminded that during this time, when the whole world seemed to be working against me, I declared that I was about to make the biggest breakthrough of my life. I was not going to try to do it. I was doing it.
I told a friend," There is no try."
Despite what my life looked like, I knew I was going to do it, and I exceeded my wildest dreams.

My name is Dana Claudat and I'm the Dana behind The Tao of Dana. I studied Art History at Stanford University and became a Feng Shui Master. I design homes. I help people find more creative genius in their lifestyles. I curate art collections.
Mainly: I help people rewrite their life stories to give more of themselves to life and get more of what they want from life.
